Vom “defining chapter” wird gesprochen. Das glaube ich gut und gerne, immerhin waren die letzten zwei Filme thematisch ähnlich und irgendwann muss ja mal was passieren, was diese zweite Trilogie rechtfertigt. Der Trailer haut mich jetzt nicht um, aber es ist wichtig im Hinterkopf zu behalten, dass sich die Kinoversion visuell stark vom Trailer unterscheidet. Trotzdem ist das, was gezeigt wird, eher lahm. Vielleicht wird das aber ja noch was und dann kann Peter Jackson mich im dritten Teil endlich überzeugen. Ich hätte nichts dagegen.

“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.
