Hier dann die diesjährigen Oscarnominierungen in der Übersicht. Selma wird in den großen Kategorien komplett ausgeschlossen und kriegt eine “Best Picture” Nominierung als Trostpreis. American Sniper passt wohl in den aktuellen Zeitgeist und erhält ziemlich viele Nominierungen.

Zwei meiner Lieblingsfilme des vergangenen Jahres gehen leer aus: Life Itself wird nicht nominiert und The Lego Movie erhält keine Erwähnung in der Kategorie der Animationsfilme, was ich für einen kleinen Skandal halte. Jetzt muss dort Ghibli gewinnen. Nightcrawler geht bis auf eine Nominierung für das beste originale Drehbuch leer aus – schlimm!

Gillian Flynn kriegt keine Nominierung für ihr großartiges Drehbuch zum eigenen Roman. Dass jemand so in zwei verschiedenen Bereichen den Stoff gleichermaßen gut aufs Papier bringen kann, hätte belohnt werden dürfen.

Dass Interstellar in den Sound-Kategorien nominiert wurde, freut mich nach all dem Hickhack als Fan der originellen Entscheidung Nolans sehr. Ebenso freue ich mich über Hans Zimmers Nominierung – er sollte gewinnen. Schade, dass Hoyte Van Hoytema keine Nominierung für seine Kameraarbeit am Film bekommt. Wer sich ein wenig mit dem Making-Of beschäftigt, wird verstehen, wieso ich dort so auf eine Nominierung gepocht habe.

Außerdem groß: Wes Anderson ist endlich auch als Regisseur nominiert worden. Ich würde es ihm sehr gönnen, aber Boyhood muss hier gewinnen. Der Film wurde für sechs Kategorien nominiert und dürfte vier davon, mit Ausnahme von Hawke (yay!) und dem Original Screenplay (wird Wes Anderson hier endlich belohnt?), gewinnen. Total verdient.

Verliehen werden die Oscars am 22. Februar. Moderiert wird die Veranstaltung von Neil Patrick Harris, der das bestimmt ganz toll machen wird.
